My Journey Into Marketing

I grew up outside, on trails, in the mountains, and in the kind of places where fresh air and muddy boots are just part of the day. Being outdoors has always been where I feel most myself, and I’ve always wanted my work to live in that world too.

Early on, I realized that marketing could be more than just selling things. It could be a way to share the feeling of standing on a ridge at sunrise, or walking into a small-town event where everyone feels welcome. I became obsessed with how design, words, and experience could invite people into that feeling.

That curiosity pulled me north to Alaska, where I spent my early career wrapped up in local events, small businesses, and community-driven projects. I saw how a simple poster, a well-timed email, or a thoughtful social post could actually bring people together, not just get clicks.

When I moved from Alaska to Bozeman, I knew I wanted to keep chasing that same energy.

Now, I use my creative eye and marketing background to support outdoor-focused brands and other values-driven businesses. I help them:
• tell stories that feel real and lived-in,
• show up in ways that feel natural (not shouty), and
• create experiences people actually want to be part of, on the trail, in town, or online.

From Alaska to Bozeman, the goal has stayed the same: take the way the outdoors makes us feel, and translate that into honest, intentional marketing that connects.
